Archie Gray Wins Socios Player of the Month

Leeds United fans have voted in their masses, and chosen Archie Gray as their standout player for the month of February.

The 2023/24 campaign has been a breakthrough season for the 17 year old, as he continues to put in impressive performances game after game.

Gray becomes the sixth different player to win the award this season, following on from Patrick Bamford who was recognised by fans in January.

Leeds won six out of seven games during February, with the only defeat coming against Premier League side Chelsea, in which Gray didn’t look out of place in the heart of midfield, winning ITV’s Player of the Match.

Gray also picked up the club’s Player of the Match award against Leicester, where everyone thought he scored his first senior goal, only for it to be cruelly taken away by the Dubious Goals Panel after it took a deflection.

Playing at right back, Gray also popped up with an assist during the 4-0 Swansea win, when he set up Willy Gnonto’s second with a beautiful chip into his path.

Gray won the Player of the Month award after 60% of fans voted for him, but he was joined by several other players who were praised during February.

Willy Gnonto (19%) racked up five goals and an assist, Georginio (18%) contributed with two goals and six assists, whilst Crysencio Summerville (3%) stepped up with four goals and two assists.
