BREAKING NEWS: Commanders Resign Another Quarterback Because of the $85.3 Million That…

Along with running back Austin Ekeler, the Los Angeles Chargers added cornerback Michael Davis to their roster on Monday with a one-year contract.

Along with Emmanuel Forbes and Benjamin St-Juste, Washington gains an experienced veteran in the secondary in Davis, 29, a 2023 first-round pick. Since making his NFL debut in 2017 as an undrafted free agent, he has participated in 107 games and started 74 of them.

“I believed that this was the ideal location for me to be, the ideal spot for me to come here and develop myself,” Davis remarked. “I was unable to turn down the chance.”

Davis came to Washington with the intention of starting and working with young cornerbacks. While Davis is unaware of Dan Quinn’s background, she is aware of the types of players the new Commanders coach is drawn to.

Davis remarked, “I knew that I could be the ideal fit in his scheme.” “I am aware that Dan Quinn enjoys steeper, faster, and larger turns, and I share his tastes.”

After playing with Washington for six of the previous eight seasons, Kendall Fuller signed a $16.5 million, two-year contract with the Miami Dolphins. Davis takes Fuller’s place.

In addition to Ekeler, quarterback Marcus Mariota, tight end Zach Ertz, and six-time All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner, Davis is one of numerous seasoned players that new general manager Adam Peters has added since free agency opened.
