Breaking news: Leeds united star just decided he leaves the club this summer
Leeds United are now prepared to sanction the exit of Cody Drameh before
Friday’s deadline.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who reports that Djed Spence’s arrival at
the club has cleared the path for Drameh to depart Elland Road this summer
either on loan or permanently.
It is said that Spence completed a medical at Leeds last night ahead of his
proposed move, giving him the green light to sign on a season-long-loan from
Tottenham Hotspur.
Drameh’s exit from Leeds has looked inevitable throughout the window,
particularly given the restricted number of minutes he has played so far this season.
Leeds’ attempted pursuit of Max Aarons earlier this month was also a clear
indicator that Drameh no longer has a long-term future in West Yorkshire.
West Yorkshire.
Leeds to let Drameh leave after Spence arrival
Despite Daniel Farke having rested Luke Ayling, Drameh was also an unused
substitute in Leeds’ Carabao Cup penalty shootout defeat at Salford City last night.
Instead, Jamie Shackleton was chosen ahead of him at right-back, with Drameh
having been kept on the bench after his nightmare cameo against Ipswich Town,
where he was withdrawn just 20 minutes after coming on.
