Residents were treated to an insightful tour around the renowned and historic buildings, led by the parliament tour guides.
MP Luke Hall then spoke to residents about the ongoing work being done to deliver for his constituents, followed by a Q&A session where residents raised various topics including the introduction of half hourly train services from Yate to Bristol, with some residents expressing how invaluable this service has been.
Other subjects covered were the opening of Junction 18A on the M4 and the delivery of Yate Park & Ride.
“I am immensely grateful to all the residents who traveled to Westminster, as well as for the insightful questions and important concerns that were brought up,” Mr. Hall stated.
“Since taking office, I have consistently advocated for residents to have access to the Houses of Parliament, and I am eager for our upcoming tour, which is scheduled for the upcoming weeks.”
