BREAKING NEWS;The two-time NFL Interceptions Leader is forced to sign with the Las Vegas Raiders…..

Following their eventual first week of free agency, the Raiders in Las Vegas have become less interested in adding new players. On the other hand, their roster still has a lot of flaws.

Cornerback is where there may be the largest gap. The team needs a starting-caliber cornerback because they lost Amik Robertson to the Detroit Lions in free agency. Xavien Howard, a cornerback, is still a free agent after being dismissed by the Miami Dolphins earlier in the summer. There is a history there as Patrick Graham, the defensive coordinator of the Raiders, was his defensive coordinator with the Dolphins in 2019.

The 33rd Team’s Dan Pizzuta thinks Howard should sign with the Raiders.

Pizzuta stated in a piece on March 28 that “Howard can still be aggressive, and a defence that allows him to do that off the line and then play more zone coverage on the backend could be the veteran’s best fit.”

The Las Vegas Raiders suited that description because, upon Antonio Pierce’s appointment as head coach, they adopted a more varied defensive style. In order to strengthen that side of the ball while the offence finds its footing, the Raiders have also placed a strong emphasis on defence this offseason.
