DEAL DONE: deal Confirm as “Layden Robinso” has sign a contract of…

Increasing the depth of their guard room should be a top priority for the Las Vegas Raiders throughout the draft. They’d be better off choosing a guard like Layden Robinson for that task.

The Las Vegas Raiders clearly need additional depth at guard. Out of all the guards in Las Vegas, just two are under contract right now. Dylan Parham is the only guard on the team with more than a year left on his contract.

The Raiders will have a fantastic opportunity to add one or more long-term guards to their squad in the 2024 NFL Draft. Former Texas A&M guard Layden Robinson would be a wise addition for Las Vegas if it chooses to make a late-day move on Day 3.

At this year’s NFL Combine, Robinson recorded a broad jump of nine feet, three inches and a vertical jump of 26.5 inches. For his Combine performance, he received a production score of 60 from NFL Next Gen Stats, placing him 11th out of all guards. In addition, he scored 64 for athleticism, which placed him 22nd among guards, and 65 overall, which was the 19th-best score among guards.

Robinson led the Aggies’ offense to the 25th-best scoring offense in the country (33.3 points per game) and the 30th-best passing offense (270.8 passing yards per game) by starting all nine of the team’s games at right guard. He was selected to the Second Team All-SEC.

Robinson received an overall rating of 65.8 from Pro Football Focus for his 2023 campaign.

The previous season, Robinson started every game at right guard as well. In 2021, he started ten games as well and was selected to the PFF All-SEC First Team. For that season, PFF awarded him an overall grade of 80.7.
