Done Deal: “Jared Goff” Announced His Depart From “Lions Due” To The Contract He Sign With…

The salaries of NFL quarterbacks have skyrocketed since Jared Goff signed his last contract more than four years ago, and after leading the Detroit Lions to the NFC championship game this month Goff appears to be in line for a major payday this offseason.

Asked at locker room cleanout Monday how important it is for him to get a market-level deal this offseason, Goff said he was leaving all contract talks to his agent.

“How important is it? I don’t know. It’s just how the league goes,” he said. “If it happens, it happens, if it doesn’t, it doesn’t. But I think I’ve loved every second of my time here and would love more. Again, I’ll echo what I just said, I love (head coach) Dan Campbell, I love the coaches, I love the players here and my teammates. Yeah, it would great, but it’s not up to me.”
