Falcons RB Bijan Robinson sets wild 2,000-yard goal for 2024 season

WhatÂwillÂbeÂtheÂoutcomeÂofÂRobinson’sÂsecondÂseason?

The Atlanta Falcons played down to expectations last season, finishing with a

7-10 record for the third consecutive year. Part of their losing season had to do

with their inconsistencies on offense and their underutilization of certain players, including running back Bijan Robinson.

Many anticipated that Robinson, who the Falcons selected with the eighth overall

pick in the 2023 draft, would be a workhorse right away. In just four games

did Robinson surpass 15 carries, and in eight games, he had fewer than 12. He

did participate in all 17 games, averaging 16 touches overall.

He likely wanted more though and he expects to get that in year two with the

Falcons under new offensive coordinator Zac Robinson.

According to Daniel Flick of SI.com, Robinson stated, “I want 2,000 yards

rushing.” “I understand that you have high expectations, but with Zac leading

the way and all of our offensive weapons, I think we can do something

truly exceptional as a team. I believe it will be one of those exceptional seasons

that both Atlanta and the players have been anticipating. Let’s grab it, then.

The Falcons have plenty of talent on the offensive side of the ball. Besides

Robinson, tight end Kyle Pitts has been awaiting his breakout and wide receiver

Drake London is still searching for his first 1,000-yard season.

It’s unknown who will be under center for the Falcons in 2024, but Atlanta has

no shortage of options. They are rumored to be in on Justin Fields, and could Russell Wilson be a possibility?

Who the Falcons’ snappers are for the upcoming season will be interesting to

watch. Atlanta most likely depends a lot on Bijan Robinson. It appears to be just what he is looking for.
