The Irishman, 23, hit nine goals and provided two assists for the Hoops this season as he rounded off his loan from Carrow Road with a famous Scottish Cup Final-winning goal against Rangers. That’s prompted a number of pundits and former stars to suggest the club must look to sign him permanently.
However, Double-winning boss Brendan Rodgers has laid his cards on the table by admitting he’d love to welcome the frontman back next season. He said: “Hopefully we can do something. He has a long-term contract at Norwich but he is definitely one I would love to bring back here. At 23 with the potential and quality he has I think he can really push on in his career.”
