The transfer of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Chelsea to Marseille is complete.
The striker, who was left off of Chelsea’s preseason tour traveling squad, was reportedly nearing completion of a transfer to the French team, according to a report from The Athletic earlier this week.
Now that he has agreed to a three-year contract with Marseille, the 34-year-old will soon travel to Germany to begin training with his new team.
Regarding Aubameyang’s departure, Chelsea released the following statement: “We would like to thank Pierre and wish him well as he begins the next chapter of his career.”
