‘I don’t understand’… Micah Richards completely baffled by what Nottingham Forest have done now

Micah Richards has now been left baffled at something else which Nottingham Forest have done.

What Nottingham Forest have done to leave Micah Richards baffled

Well, it won’t come as too much of a surprise that this is to do with Forest appointing Mark Clattenburg as a Referee Analyst.

Richards has been discussing the incident involving Forest and referee Paul Tierney during Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Liverpool.

Forest appointed Mark Clattenburg into his new role last month and he will provide the club with education and reports on referees.

Richards doesn’t get it though and he’s taken a swipe at the decision made by Forest.

Forest appointing Clattenburg isn’t doing any favours just yet

We completely understand why Forest appointed Clattenburg and this situation isn’t uncommon in Europe – even if Richards disagrees.

However, it does seem as though Forest have been on the wrong end of some absolute stinkers in recent weeks.

Okay, the Reds could have done better to clear their lines at the weekend but ultimately, Paul Tierney robbed Forest of a chance to score a goal themselves.

Stephen Warnock said yesterday that Forest should name Clattenburg on the team-sheet so he can speak to the referee if he sees fit.

With that assessment, he does have a good point and perhaps it’s a tweak that Forest need to make to the 48-year-old’s role.
