JUST IN: I’m Done I won’t Do It Again, John O’Shea Escape….

John O'Shea
Admittedly, John O’Shea is looking forward to working with Adam Idah and Mikey Johnston, the Celtic duo.

Since arriving to Parkhead on loan from Norwich City in January, striker Idah, 23, has made a big impact and scored vital goals in the title fight. Johnston took a different route and was sent on loan to Championship rivals West Brom, where he has scored six goals in as many starts for the team vying for promotion to the Premier League.

Caretaker boss O’Shea has named the pair, plus Hoops defender in his Republic of Ireland squad for the upcoming friendlies against Belgium and Switzerland. And the former Manchester United star admits the attacking duo can be Ireland’s difference-makers.

He said: “I’m really buzzing to see how Adam and Mikey get on, with one leaving Celtic and one joining Celtic. I spoke to the two of them and they really can’t wait for the next game to come around.

Mikey Johnston hit the ground running at West Brom since joining on loan from in January.

The winger, 24, has hit six goals and provided one assist in his nine outings for the Baggies already with punters heaping praise on his quality since he arrived at the Hawthorns. His time at Parkhead before that, this season, was not half as fruitful and that’s why former Hoops striker offered a harsh reality check to the Irishman who’s currently riding the crest of a wave down south in the Championship.

For the ex-hitman, he feels is indeed reaping the benefits of playing at a club who have offered a starting spot. But no matter how well that six-month stint goes, Walker reckons Celtic fans WON’T want the playmaker back in Glasgow longer term.
