Barkley and the Philadelphia Eagles reached a three-year, $37.75 million contract agreement on Monday. The former player for the New York Giants verified the information on social media by sharing two eagle emojis.

Parsons may have been hopeful that Barkley and him would wind up together because there had been rumors over the weekend that the Cowboys were interested in the player. Parsons will still have to play Barkley twice a season, but it will happen when Dallas plays a different opponent.

Parsons had to deal not just with Barkley’s signing with Philadelphia but also with the loss of the Cowboys’ primary running back. He most likely did not intend for the free agency tampering period to start in that manner.
