Orlando Pirates are openly keen to improve their attacking options next season. They’ll face competition from Kaizer Chiefs for some of their reported targets.

Oswin Appollis, Freddy Kouablan, Elias Mokwana, Shaune Mogaila and Lehlohonolo Mejola, among others, have all been linked with a Sea Robbers switch. 22-year-old Appollis, recently part of the Bafana group at Afcon, has four goals in 18 league appearances this term for unfashionable Polokwane City.

Pirates and Chiefs are interested in Appollis and they’ll be glad to hear that a large offer might tempt Polokwane into selling their prized asset.

“And the good thing for them, or any other interested club, is that Polokwane City is open to selling,” a source told Soccer LadumaPirates and Chiefs are interested in Appollis and they’ll be glad to hear that a large offer might tempt Polokwane into selling their prized asset.

“This applies to any player that they were taking a chance on when signing. Appollis is a talented youngster with a lot of potential, but at the time of his signing, he needed a fresh start. He needed that in the big league, and Polokwane City was willing to offer him that opportunity. He has done well, and the club won’t stand in his way if there is an opportunity for him to grow further.”“

According to Soccer-Laduma, Chiefs want to sign Ivorian striker Freddy Michael Kouablan who’s contracted with Simba SC in Tanzania. Orlando Pirates have also thrown their hat into the ring.
