Collin Sexton is one of the key players in what the Utah Jazz is building in Salt Lake City. The squad saw his production jump from the prior season to this season, becoming far more important to the roster, serving as Lauri Markkanen’s number two for most of the season. With the roster looking at a massive overhaul this offseason, it’s unclear if Sexton will retain that role with the team during the 2024-2025 season.
The Jazz is clearly looking to get better much faster than some may think, and the hope is that they bring in another genuineTop 20 player to play next to Markkanen. If they do, Sexton may not be around much longer, as he may be part of any trades going out. He may also be retained. It’s unclear who the team is valuing heading into this off-season.
It’s pretty clear, however, that Sexton knows that the Jazz are on the rise, describing what he sees as a winning culture being built in Salt Lake. Speaking to the press (via Sexton revealed that the team wants guys who want to be there. While this season was tough at times, he believes the team is moving in the right direction, saying;
