JUST IN>>>The OKC Thunder may have found their 2023-24 campaign come to a premature end Saturday night

The Oklahoma City Thunder’s 2023–24 season may have ended prematurely on Saturday night when they lost to the Dallas Mavericks in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals, but this should not be overlooked because it was a truly remarkable run for this young and talented team.

Oklahoma City has never been this entertaining to watch during the Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook era, as they managed to go on their first deep postseason run since the 2015–16 campaign.

Fortunately for supporters local and worldwide, it appears that this level of success will only increase with time, as most of this team’s core is committed through at least 2026. Superstar guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander says the team is happy overall, stating in his farewell interview that he feels this Thunder team is the closest group he has ever been a part of.

This Thunder squad has a great sense of togetherness and intimacy, as evidenced by the fact that they were unable to conduct postgame on-court interviews without a number of players crowding around one another.

Undoubtedly, their shared youth has served to strengthen their friendship; fortunately, however, it hasn’t appeared to prevent them from experiencing great success. This year, they accomplished a historic feat by securing the top seed in the Western Conference despite their lack of experience in the organisation.
