Following yesterday’s four-point deduction, Forest finds itself in the Premier League’s relegation zone. After the announcement, more details about Scarpa became available.

It’s safe to argue that Forest made the proper decision in permanently unloading Scarpa. He was never going to be successful in the Premier League, and his ambition of playing in Europe never really came true.

Scarpa’s Premier League performances for Forest weren’t too awful, and following a 2-0 victory over Leicester, Ian Wright praised Scarpa, describing him as “brilliant.”

It’s now being reported by The Athletic that Forest made a nice profit of £4.3 million when they sold Scarpa.

To say the club signed him on a free transfer, that does represent decent business and at least Forest did manage to make a profit on the surplus player.
