Kevin Durant gets verbally abused by Dallas Maverick fans
Phoenix Suns player Kevin Durant is a two-time NBA champion and former
MVP
On Thursday night, after verbally abusing him as he entered the court,
basketball player Kevin Durant got into a fight with two inebriated Dallas
Mavericks fans, according to Sportskeeda.
As the basketball season started after the All-Star break, Durant, a two-time NBA
champion and former Most Valuable Player (MVP), was in Texas with his
Phoenix Suns club.
When the players came out to warm up with the mostly empty audience, two
supporters yelled at Durant from a few rows away from the floor.
The two supporters can be heard assaulting the former Golden State
Warriors player as he went to the floor during the confrontation that was
caught on camera in the now-viral footage.
Durant immediately turned around to confront the man and woman, who were
both holding beers and said, “What?”
As he approached them, the female fan, smiling widely, held out her hand to
shake Durant’s as if not
The female fan greeted Durant with a broad smile and extended her hand to
shake his as though nothing had changed.
It’s difficult to hear Durant’s response to the pair, but he is obviously offended by
their comments and declines to take her hand
The grinning man saw Durant was upset and tried to diffuse the tension by saying
sorry..
The embarrassed duo tried to play down their remark, not expecting Durant to
react, and started telling him a narrative about the man’s sports podcast and a
deceased relative.
