MAR-12 RUSH PIPELINE PASS On the second day of the NFL’s permissible tampering window, Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Dante Fowler Jr. has come to an agreement with the Washington Commanders.

Losing good depth is always going to hurt because you need to rush the passer. But the hurt persists when it’s defeated by a division competitor. Dan Quinn, the former defensive coordinator for the Cowboys, joined the Commanders as their head coach after leaving Dallas, and he has no qualms about calling up his former backups.

Earlier in the tampering period, Washington signed former Cowboys center Tyler Biadasz and edge rusher Dorance Armstrong.

Details on the contract are yet to emerge, though projected Fowler to earn a one-year, $2.5 million deal in free agency. Fowler generated four sacks in 2023 and 10 total across his two seasons in Dallas.
