Guy Porter, an England center, has revealed that he will be leaving the Leicester Tigers at the conclusion of the season. It appears that Porter will be joining Super Rugby.

Porter’s contract, which expires at the end of June, will not be renewed, like that of Nic Dolly, Francois van Wyk, Dan Richardson, and Matt Scott, the Tigers announced on Friday.

Porter, 26, went to Australia when he was seven years old, and while he studied law, he played for Sydney University and earned his sixth cap for England in the Pre-World Cup summer series match against Wales.

Prior to joining the Tigers, where he has seen his value soar after over 65 appearances, he has played for the Sydney Stars, Sydney Rays, and the ACT Brumbies.

Porter, who has made 69 appearances for the Tigers and scored 15 tries, is in advanced talks with Western Force. Porter can play either center position or both wings.

Porter appears ready to take Sam Spink’s place at the Force. Spink’s signing to the Saracens was confirmed this week; RugbyPass was the first to report on the move earlier in the season.

Porter’s England career, which started in Australia in July 2022 and ended a few weeks later when the Tigers defeated Saracens in the last seconds to win their 11th English title, would come to an end with a move to the Perth-based team.
