Nottingham Forest City Ground latest as ‘forget it’ message sent over new plans

Talks over the renewal of the club’s lease of the City Ground have stalled in recent months and a group of councillors have angered Nottingham Forest fans with their latest suggestion

The future of Nottingham Forest at the City Ground remains up in the air after reports last week that the club could be forced to look for a new home when talks broke down with the city council.

With the future of the club’s lease on the City Ground uncertain, a group on Nottingham City Council has suggested a possible move to land near Toton Tram Station.

The news which is considered a ‘last resort’ is being put forward for discussion by councillors. We’d suggest that they pay attention to some of the following comments from Reds supporters, they make their feelings very well know;

Having said this, paying £ 1 million rent on the current site is peanuts compared to the £173m spent last year on players plus the overspending on wages which have broken the FFP rules. Come on you REDS, support your City, and stop holding it and your fans to ransom just to increase your net profit.
