Nottingham Forest handed another major blow because of FA ruling ahead of Brighton fixture
All the latest team news for Brighton and Hove Albion and across the Premier League
The Football Association has filed charges of misconduct against
Nottingham Forest and first-team coach Steven Reid for their altercation with
referee Paul Tierney following Saturday’s Premier League match against Liverpool.
Reid was sent out after he entered the pitch to argue with Tierney at the
conclusion of the game, which ended with Forest losing 1-0 due to a goal by
Darwin Nunez far into stoppage time.
Referee analyst Mark Clattenburg for Forest remarked that the team was
“aggrieved” by Tierney’s erroneous decision to give Liverpool a dropped
ball in the Reds’ penalty area instead of awarding possession to Forest when he
paused play due to Ibrahima Konate’s head injury.
