Richard Keys shares what ‘arrogant’ Paul Tierney said to Nottingham Forest players

Richard Keys has once again defended Nottingham Forest and explained what Paul Tierney remarkably said to players on Saturday.

This comes on Twitter in the aftermath of the club and Steven Reid being charged for their behaviour after the final whistle.

So, what has Keys said about the Forest incident on Saturday? Let’s take a closer look…

What Richard Keys believes Paul Tierney said to Nottingham Forest players

Well, the fallout rumbles on here and in fairness, it will be nice when Forest can get back to playing football once again.

The Reds go to Brighton at the weekend and they should be heading there after a hard-fought point against Liverpool.

However, thanks to Tierney forgetting that his job is to apply law, Forest go there on the back of another defeat

Keys is stunned and in a frankly astonishing post on Twitter, he’s explained what he thinks Tierney said and did on the day.

Forest have to move on but there’s no wonder they were incensed

Good referees go unnoticed. They blend into the background, do what they have to do to keep a lid on the game and perform their job with minimal fuss.

Bad ones, make everyone believe it’s all about them and lose concentration at key moments in games, subsequently getting things wrong in law.

The haphazard nature of this one is hard to stomach for Forest – and Keys has got it spot on.

Okay, Reid and Forest shouldn’t have behaved in the manner they did but this is the best league in the world – supposedly – and this was an almighty error.
