March 28 – Draymond Green, a forward for the Golden State Warriors, stated on Thursday that he should have been sent off for his conduct, which occurred less than four minutes into his team’s game against the Orlando Magic.
Following a confrontation with official Ray Acosta on Wednesday, Green was ejected from an NBA game for the 19th time in his career during the regular season and the fourth time this year.
After teammate Stephen Curry was penalized for a shooting foul, Green confronted the referee once more. Initially, he had taken issue with Acosta for a personal foul. Yelling at Acosta earned Green a technical foul, and when he proceeded with his uninvited remark, he was flagged for another.
