LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – The Detroit Lions elected not to resign WR Josh Reynolds in free agency. Reynolds officially signed with the Denver Broncos on Wednesday afternoon.
This past season, Reynolds has 40 receptions for 608 yards and five touchdowns with the Lions. Reynolds and Denver agreed to a two-year contract extension for up to $14 million. Jameson Williams now has the opportunity to play as the second wide receiver, and Donovan Peoples-Jones may get additional opportunities as a result. Additionally, Brad Holmes may choose to sign a second wide receiver through free agency or the draft.
Detroit will have the 29th overall choice in the NFL Draft and will host the event from April 25–27.
