DJ was locked in, sporting a wide-eyed stare at the cameras, prompting the internet to sound off on the Giants QB’s wild look. The Adam Gase stare wasn’t a hit … with anyone.
Perhaps Daniel Jones knew he’d get pressed about the Giants potentially drafting a new quarterback sixth overall in this year’s draft.
Jones spoke on the whispers surrounding his job security heading into the 2024 season. The five-year starter admitted to dodging the outside noise, notably amid a rehab.
Daniel Jones told reporters, “I think you can get into trouble when you try to think too much about some of those things and how it all works out.”
He added, “Yeah, like your antenna for some of those dynamics and relationships. I’m just focused on what I’m doing, and that’s my rehab, getting healthy, spending time with the guys, and making
sure we’re getting on the same page, and having the best spring we can.”
Sadly for Jones, Big Blue Nation reached the point where they’re checked out on Jones. While some fans contend that an improved offensive line and better receivers can elevate Jones to QB1, the QB
has made his case that he lacks the “stuff” a franchise starter requires.
Between Jones’ bad contract extension and losing Saquon Barkley, Giants fans think back to the failed drafts throughout the 2010s, which have handicapped their team for a decade.
