Osborn, 26, entered the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings in the fifth round of the 2020 draft at No. 176 overall. After playing exclusively on special teams as a rookie, the former graduate transfer from the University of Buffalo to
the University of Miami saw his initial offensive snaps in the league as a sophomore.
“I’ve played with some great players, man,” Osborn said. “I’m excited to get some more opportunity and be able to really help this team win. There’s a lot of great players already in the receiver room, so I want to come in and be
another help to those guys, another complement. There are some vets in there. And at the end of the day, just help this team win. But I’m excited for the opportunity ahead.”
Those marked Osborn’s lowest totals since first earning a receiving role in the NFC North. Quarterback Kirk Cousins’ torn Achilles as well as the aforementioned Jefferson’s hamstring injury played a part in why. Yet after
cutting his teeth in the slot and twice eclipsing the century mark in 2022, including during what was a 33-0 halftime deficit to the Indianapolis Colts, the role had also shifted.
“I feel like I am a versatile player,” added Osborn. “I definitely can play inside and outside. I would say most of my career I played inside, so that’s probably where I’m a little bit more comfortable at, just by nature of having a lot
more reps there. But I try to pride myself on being a versatile player.”
