The New York Giants have apparently identified a running back to replace star Saquon Barkley, who was lost to free agency.

Running back Devin Singletary is joining the Giants on a three-year, $16.5 million contract that could be worth up to $19.5 million, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

During his time with the Houston Texans in 2023, Singletary amassed career highs of 898 running yards and 216 carries, along with four touchdowns. For 198 yards, he also added 30 catches.

Singletary, a third-round selection in the 2019 draft, played his first four seasons in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills. With this move, he is reunited with Brian Daboll, the head coach of the Giants, who was the offensive coordinator for the Bills before.

Barkley was not given a franchise tag by the Giants.
