They’ve Got Some Guys!’: Justin Fields Scouts Falcons

Atlanta Falcons quarterback target Justin Fields has confidence in the team’s assortment of weapons

This off season, the Atlanta Falcons are in dire need of a quarterback change, and

Justin Fields of the Chicago Bears has long been considered as a top candidate to fill that role.

In addition to being a native of the Atlanta region, Fields is probably going

to be moving this offseason. Once again, the Bears control the first overall pick.

Although they had to make a significant tradedown last year, it appears more

likely that they will use that pick to select a quarterback (likely Caleb Williams of USC).

The Falcons are among the top teams vying for Fields’ services, not only

because they are his hometown team but also because a minor improvement at

quarterback might have a significant impact

Fields talked on the St. Brown Brothers podcast of The 33rd Team about the

possibility of returning home and the team he would be joining.

Atlanta would be challenging. The only drawback to returning home is that you’ll be itching to get game tickets. They

seem to have a lot of playmakers on the squad. My boy Kyle [Pitts], Bijan [Robinson], and of course Drake

[London]. They have some guys over there, but they certainly need one more receiver.”

Fields also stated in the podcast that, while he would prefer to remain in

Chicago, Atlanta might be a suitable choice in that scenario.

In fact, Fields would have a far stronger toolkit to work with immediately than he

has had with the Bears thanks to Robinson, Pitts, and London. It would be

ideal if the Falcons added another receiver like Fields recommends.

Fields may be acquired for a high price, but considering that the Falcons are only

one quarterback away from the postseason, it would be a risk well worth taking.
